Educación Primaria del CEIP Stmo Cristo de la Vera Cruz (Consuegra), comenzará
en breve este proyecto colaborando con la tutora y creadora del mismo, Hannah
Graham de Holanda. El objetivo principal es el conocimiento de otras culturas
dentro de Europa y el trabajo con las nuevas tecnologías. La ilusión es el
primer ingrediente para que este proyecto llegue a ser un éxito.
Esperamos
aprender mucho con nuestros compañeros/as holandeses y que ellos también
aprendan con nosotros.

Details
During this
project pupils will awaken and consolidate their cultural awareness about their
hometowns and countries. They will also acquire ICT skills, learn how to search
on the internet, share their knowledge with others and create digital
resources.
Pedagogical Objectives
Pupil will:
• Get to know children from other countries.
• Learn about their own cultures and features of their hometown.
• They will learn about cultures and features of other European countries.
• They will be exposed to other languages.
• Learn how to search effectively on the internet on trusted sites and resources.
• Develop technological skills
• Be exposed to different languages and listen to foreign music and feel the different rhythm
• Know more about each other’s culture
• Use ICT effectively
• Get to know children from other countries.

Process
- Starting
Activities
Participating teachers using
the TwinSpace, should meet in the Staffroom and decide which tools to use for
communication and processing of data. They should choose common language
to be used by the teachers and by the pupils.
Introduction: Make a collage or presentation with photos or drawings of pupils. Upload on Twinspace. Pupils are invited to join the TwinSpace. They introduce themselves in the ‘Pupils Corner’.

2. Consolidation
Planned activities:
1. ‘What I like about my town/city/village’.
The pupils take a walk around their hometown and take photos. They choose one as their favourite photo. Upload on TwinSpace gallery.
2. The pupils choose a favourite story by a local author. They either draw or dramatize the story and present it as a presentation or a video clip.
3. Pupils choose a favourite song in their national language. The pupil’s singing the song will be recorded or videoed.
4. Pupils choose a participating country. They search on the internet and prepare a presentation / song / recipe / photo album about this partner country of their choice.
5. Pupils make Vokis ( animated voice greetings)and give a greeting in their own language.

3. Conclusions
The pupil should understand their own cultural
heritage and appreciate other cultures. They should have made friends
from communicating on the TwinSpace. They should be sharing their
drawings or photos and writing to each other on the ‘Pupil’s Corner’.
Evaluation
Using a simple
questionnaire evaluate the pupils responses to the project.
Follow up
Pupils will share their culture, stories and songs. The partnership
facilitates communication between different cultures. Pupils and teachers start
to communicate in an interactive way. Pupils and teachers will develop their
skills in ICT. Learning is enjoyable and successful, personal and something
which the children can identify.
